Clinical Hypnotherapy is exactly what it sounds like -
- Clinical - means it’s conducted in a clinical manner by a certified hypnotherapist
- Hypno-therapy - meaning, the use of therapeutic methodologies, like Hypnosis, in this case, to address deep psychological issues.
Hypnotherapy also uses Age-Regression and Past Life Regression Therapy (PLRT) to diagnose and treat issues. PLRT is normally used in a context for which better understanding is sought.
Often, issues in our current life have roots in a previous one, wherein, either they were left unresolved and hence, carried over or the soul needs to be reminded, at a subconscious level, that it need not bring them into the present life, especially since the related past life is over. Even medical conditions like Asthma, for instance, have been cured by Past Life Regression Therapy.
Some Issues Treated with Hypnotherapy Include:
>Physical and Mental Health related issues, all kinds of Fears and Phobias, Emotional Conflicts/Relationship issues, Childhood Traumas, Self-esteem/Confidence issues, Smoking/Alcohol addiction, Weight loss, Anxiety, Asthma and other related disorders.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is unlike eastern Hypnosis, as it’s generally understood to be. There’s no mesmerising to make you a slave to the Hypnotist’s bidding! No staring at swinging pendulums and watches, as seen on TV.
The Clinical Hypnotherapist is never in control of you or your mind like a Hypnotist is. Therefore, the process is completely scientific and safe… so you can relax… literally and figuratively
You are methodically guided into a state of relaxation (without pendulums and such) and your issues are therapeutically diagnosed, at a subconscious level. They are then analysed, treated and healed - by you! The Clinical Hypnotherapist merely facilitates the process.
At no point during the session, do you lose control of your senses or are not in control of them. In fact, you continue to remain conscious at one level and can even choose not to share some of your insights with your therapist. Nonetheless, your therapist is professionally and ethically bound by confidentiality.
At every stage of the session, your permission is sought and if not granted, your therapist cannot continue. It is you who is pretty much in control of the session. And yes, 9 out of 10 times, you will remember everything of the experience, gaining a new understanding and eventually, acceptance, of your issues.
The number of sessions you may need will depend upon the complexity of your issue and decided by your therapist. Since it helps resolve your issues at the subconscious level, it does require some patience and focus.
Each session can take 45 minutes to an hour.
Hypnotherapy is especially effective for recurring patterns of behaviour or emotions which disrupt your life.
